About Schacht & Associates: Jennie Schacht, Founder and Principal |

Jennie Schacht is founder and principal of Schacht & Associates.
Prior to founding Schacht & Associates, Ms. Schacht was director of a comprehensive perinatal services program for the Native American Health Centers in Oakland and San Francisco. She has over 25 years of experience in the health care field.
In addition to consulting in health and human services, Ms. Schacht authors freelance food articles appearing in local, national and international publications, and on the Web. She has twice been a contributing editor to Gault Millau's Gayot's Guides. She is co-author of The Wine Lover's Dessert Cookbook (Chronicle Books, 2005) and Without Reservations: Cooking at Home with Joey Altman (John Wiley & Sons, 2008), and is currently at work on Farmers' Market Desserts (Chronicle Books), which will be published in Spring 2010.
Ms. Schacht holds a Certificate in Food and Beverage Management from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and a Master's Degree in Social Welfare from the University of California at Berkeley, with a concentration in Social Agency Management.
